BC Heritage Fairs is a registered Canadian charity. Those interested in donating to the Heritage Fair program can do so through Charitable Impact. Donations are tax-deductible, and funds go toward implementing Heritage Fair programming around the province; supporting the Regional Heritage Fairs, and organizing the annual Provincial Fair.

Donations of $20 or more will receive a charitable tax receipt. Donations made in monthly increments will have tax receipts issued annually the following February. Charitable tax receipts are distributed by email unless otherwise requested.

Who Supports Heritage Fair?

  • The BC Heritage Fairs Society is under the Distinguished Patronage of Her Honour, The Honourable Wendy Cocchia, C.M., O.B.C., LL.D. (Hon) Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.
  • Each region has a coordinator from a museum, school district, or heritage society who oversees the planning, promotion, and running of the Regional Fair.
  • The BC Heritage Fairs Society is entirely volunteer-run, and is led by a Board of Directors.
  • The Heritage Fair program begins with teachers who guide students to successfully complete their research projects. It depends upon the many volunteers, including student alumni, to do the many jobs big and small involved in running a Fair.
  • Above all, the students who enthusiastically share their research into our history and spread the word about the program are supporters.
  • We are fortunate to have partnerships with various historical organizations in BC, and are also grateful for the support of all our donors and members.
